Homemade Pumpkin Fritters

  • 300 g All purpose flour
  • 2 Slices of bread
  • 3 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 2 Cups of Pumpkin – Cooked-Pureed and DRAINED, very important to drain excess water out.
  • 2 tsp. Baking powder
  • 2 tsp. Sugar
  • 1 Large egg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 125 ml Milk
  • Oil for deep frying


Mix all the ingredients together in a big bowl, let it stand to cool down if pumpkin is still warm from cooking, leave mix for 40+ minutes.

Drain excess water out by putting the mix in a cloth or any other easy way you will be able to get water out.

Make sure you oil is warm for deep frying, make little round balls or flat shapes

Fry until it is golden brown

Put the pumpkin fritters on a paper cloth.

Prepare Caramel Sauce.

Ingredients Caramel Sauce:

  • 250 ml Cream
  • 125 g Castor sugar
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tsp. butter
  • 125 ml Honey



Melt all the ingredients in a frying pan, and drizzle over fried pumpkin fritters.
